HP Spectre x360 Review for New Buyers

HP Spectre x360 is the best laptop HP ever came up with in terms of design, elegance, performance and battery life till today in our opinion. It has a very elegant design, good performance, quality build and nice display.

Let’s talk about  specifications first.  it comes with 2.3 gigahertz Intel core-i5 processor and an 8 GB RAM along with 256 GB of solid-state-drive (SSD) for  storage. If you want to pay a little bit more, $150,  you will get a Core i7- 7500-U  processor with a RAM double the size of the one with lower price tag, of 16 GB.

If you look at it first time you will feel that it has a lot of similarities with MacBook Air but if you look closely you will see a lot of differences as well with some minute typical HP touches. The surface is silky and at the same time comfortable looking with rounded edges. The hinges are strong enough to use the touch screen when you are using it as a laptop and at the same time when you move on to use it as a tablet, you can just open the hinges very smoothly. When you are using it as a tablet you will feel it totally being a tablet and when you are using it as a laptop, you will feel it as if you are working on a fully featured laptop.

The laptop has a 13.3 inch 1920×1080 display. HP has made the bezel skinnier to make the laptop lighter and the screen bigger which they accomplished pretty well. The best part is that they did not move the location of the camera from the middle while they decreased the bezel.

Because of the use of aluminium, the laptop is a little bit heavier than its counterparts, those made of carbon fiber or magnesium alloys. The laptop weighs 3.17 pounds. It has got one USB port,  a headset jack and there is no video-out ports or any HDMI ports. It charges through thunderbolt-3 port using its own charger.

To be used for the tablet mode, it has got power button on the left and the volume rocker on the right. It comes with the support of 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2. It also comes with a high quality back-lit keyboard along with a wide touch-pad. When we say wide, it’s wide. The make of the touch pad and its palm rejection technology makes it a nice experience to use.

The 13.3 inch display has a resolution of 1920 by 1080  pixels as we said in the spec part.  You might say that the resolution is low but actually when you see it, it feels better for its color accuracy and brightness.
